What are your first thoughts when reading the script?
Fukushi: I find it interesting and always dream that I may play a role that will take me back in time. I would like that to happen to me in real life but a movie role is good enough!
Nomura: I really think so too.
Honda: I love to experience something similar myself
How is the atmosphere at the set, are you friends before or only now?
Fukushi: We have quite a relaxed atmosphere and we became friends in an instant.
Nomura: Always willing to be friends with someone my age, so it’s cool
Honda: Mr. Nomura is willing to take the initiative to make friends so we find it easy to start friendship and get along well.
What are some of your impressions of each other?
Fukushi: I thought that Mr. Nomura is a very serious person and that I was totally different from him (laughs). He’s not serious at all, and is quite a mood maker, he made us have some fun at the set!
Nomura: I also thought Mr. Fukushi is a serious person, but he’s very friendly and I thought I should not clown, but it’s not like that - we had a good time together, the three of us.
Honda: I had been together in “GTO” (Great Teacher Onizuka) with Mr. Nomura, but never spoken to him at all at that time. Mr. Fukushi, I guess, is one of those who always have a ready smile for everyone.
The relationship of the three is like more than friends but less than lovers, so how do all of you feel about playing such characters?
Fukushi: I don’t have a close childhood friend so it’s kind of a challenge for me to play a character and relate to someone close to me like that. I came to do the shoots thinking I’ll absolutely enjoy this role.
Nomura: Because my role is that of someone who suffered a heart attack, I’m a little more limited to certain scenes, which also including feeling jealous at the relationship of two people who I left behind.
I think a childhood friend and falling in love with such friend is kind of impossible, I think the relationship between us three is just what I hope for. (http://psycho-drama.com)
